So I have completely failed with my 'Back To Rosewood' series this time. I've been really busy with it being Summer which means I have found it difficult to keep up with writing a new post for each episode. I'm really sorry that I wasn't able to keep up with them & I don't think I have the time to catch up now either. Instead I have decided to just do one big post where I do a short summary of each episode with less detail & then at the end I will give my opinion on this series as a whole. I hope this post is interesting for you to read and makes up for me not being able to do my original plan.
Episode 1 - Tick Tock B*tches
- Introduced to Mary Drake
- The girls give A.D the killer - Ali
- Hanna escapes & Mary Drake finds her
This was a really good start to the series. It was really tense in the beginning where we were made to believe that Hanna was dead. Luckily it was just a doll and the gang had 24 hours to find Hanna. As a result they told A.D that they thought Ali was the killer and handed them her coat. Hanna then escapes from where she is being kept and makes a run for it only to run into Mary Drake. This made us fear what would happen to her next. The episode ended with Dr Rollins injecting drugs into Ali and promising to keep her in there forever now that he knows that she killed Charlotte.
Episode 2 - Bedlam
- Mary Drake takes Hannah home - is she really evil?
- The Liars become suspicious of Elliot as Ali's condition seems to get worse in Welby
- There is tension between Aria, Ezra & Liam as well as Hanna, Caleb & Spencer
- Ali escapes from Rollins
- Hanna runs Rollins over & kills him
- Spencer finds out about the Haleb kiss
Episode 4 - Hit & Run, Run, Run
- The Liars bury Rollins & come up with a plan to make it look like Rollins had left town
- Spencer gets drunk because she's upset about Caleb and kisses Mario
- Aria takes Ali back to Welby where she puts herself in the position that Rollins would have left her so that the doctors at Welby are able to see his true colours
- Hanna and Spencer are arguing about Caleb
- Jenna returns and Mona & Hanna discover that she was working with Rollins who is now called Archer since the Toby found out that Rollins had actually stolen a dead man's identity.
Episode 5 - Along Comes Mary
- Aria & Emily visit Archer's burner apartment & discover that he was impersonating Wilden
- Ali realises that Archer stole all of her money
- Sabrina & Emily get together
- Nicole calls Ezra and Aria deletes the call assuming that it must be fake
- Ezra proposes to Aria
Episode 6 - Wanted: Dead or Alive
- Hanna starts to believe that Archer is still alive
- Ali tells the girls that she knows that they told AD that she was Charlotte's killer which understandably she isn't best pleased about
- The police confirm a sighting of Archer and inform the girls that they think he is after them
- Spencer & Caleb split up
- Emily speaks to Sara Harvey and Jenna and finds out that Jenna was friends with both Archer and Charlotte
- The girls call Ali to tell her that they think Archer is coming for her. She invites the police officer into her house and explains what is going on. He turns out to be a fake police officer and attacks her but is scared away by the sound of police sirens.
- Sara Harvey is found dead in the Radley
- Spencer & Hanna go to check if Rollins body is still there and realise that it is so someone else is carrying on his work for him
Episode 7 - Original G'Angsters
- Jason comes back and kicks Mary out. Ali begs him to give her a chance
- Jason meets Aria and we find out that something went on between them at some point
- After Yvonne gets hurt, Toby tells Spencer that he & Yvonne are moving away to start a family. However, he also admits that he started building the house for Spencer not Yvonne
- Mary tells Ali about a storm cellar so the Liars visit it & find out that Jessica knew that Ali was alive and had files on each of the girls.
- They also find out that she was in charge of Mary's care at Radley as well as the fact that Mary also had a second child, as well as Charlotte, who was also adopted
- They are disturbed by a car alarm & go outside. They end up locked in the car with a countdown. When the countdown finishes the storm cellar is blown up. There is a note written in the steam on the back of the car saying 'I See You' - a note that Noel Kahn has written before
Episode 8 - Exes & OMGs
- Hanna has a dream where Caleb is run over by Noel
- Ali returns to teaching
- Ezra finds out that Aria deleted Nicole's call and isn't happy.
- Spencer & Aria find Dr.Cochran who delivered Mary's babies and find out more information
- Mrs Grunwald visits Hanna because of a dream. She tells her that she & Caleb are in danger
- She insinuates that Noel is the one she should be afraid of
- Paige comes back & her & Emily apply for the same job as a swim coach at their old school
- Aria buys Ezra a ticket to go to Columbia to see whether they find Nicole
- Hanna leaves town and starts setting up a flat and covering the windows with Newspaper
- Spencer looks through old baby photos
Episode 9 - The Wrath of Kahn
- Hanna goes undercover & follows Noel in the search for AD
- Jason & Aria (who were a couple for a while) go to the courthouse to look for answers about the adoption of Mary's second child
- Hanna finds Sara Harvey's phone in Noel's rubbish
- Emily tells Paige that it's happening again
- Emily & Spencer go to Noel's cabin and find a memory stick with videos proving that Noel was involved in the doll's house
- Hanna meets Noel & tries to drug him but the plan goes wrong when Noel realises what she is doing and takes back Sara's phone
- Someone breaks into Spencer's house & steal the memory stick which means they lose the evidence
- Jason & Aria get the paperwork about the adoption & find out that Noel's dad was the judge who signed the adoption paper which leads Aria to believe that he is Mary's second child
- Ezra tells Aria that Nicole wasn't one of the hostages and says he'll be flying home in the morning admitting that he understands why she deleted the call
- Hanna hits Noel on the head knocking him unconscious
Episode 10 - The Darkest Knight (Season Finale)
- Worried about Hanna the Liars call the police
- Hanna actually has Noel tied up and take his blood to have it tested.
- Hanna calls Mona for help and then returns to Rosewood and tells everyone that she is fine and it was nothing to worry about.
- Caleb takes Hanna home & admits that he loves her and they get back together.
- Ali is pregnant and confides in Emily. Emison kiss!
- Marco and Spencer have a date at her house
- The next day Spencer visits Toby before he leaves town and kisses him for the last time. It's obvious that the feelings are still there between them.
- Hanna gets a call which reveals that Noel isn't Mary's second child
- She tells the Liars what she has done and asks for their help
- Aria sees on TV that Nicole has been found.
- They go to see Noel but he is gone. The Liars get a text with an address saying to meet at 10pm to swap the memory stick with the camera
- Things take a turn for the worse as Noel appears and tries to kill Hanna & Emily whilst Ali, Spencer and Aria avoid Jenna who is walking around the house with a gun ready to shoot them.
- Emily and Hanna push Noel and he falls on to an axe killing himself
- Jenna corners the girls and fires a shot hitting Spencer.
- Jenna is knocked out and Mary Drake appears and goes to Spencer
- The girls find them and Mary reveals that Spencer is in fact her second child
- We here an ambulance and see that Toby has run into a tree and both him and Yvonne are unconscious.
- Jenna is put into the back of a van and she says "You're AD" which shows that she doesn't know who AD is either
So that is a summary of each of the episodes. OMG what a series! I have really enjoyed this series as each episode has been tense and has left we with so many questions. I felt that each episode was really dramatic and the plot never failed to shock me. In my opinion this has been one of the best series yet. The season finale was so so good. I can't believe how tense it was and it has left me with so many unanswered questions. I cannot wait for the next series. Shame we have to wait about 8 months.
