My Exercise Routine - August 2016!

Hello Everyone,

Recently I stopped exercising for a while and after a while I started to feel unfit and just generally not good. I didn't feel ill but I didn't feel as fit, motivated or full of energy as I used to. I knew that I needed to get motivated and start exercising again so that's what I did. Since I have been back exercising I would say that I have returned to how I felt before I stopped and maybe even go as far as saying that I feel even fitter now. I started a completely new exercise routine and so far it seems to be working well for me.

Today I'm going to tell you how I exercise. I am no expert on exercise in any way but this is what works for me. Remember just because this works for me it doesn't mean that it will work for you as well. Everyone is different so if this isn't suitable for you then try something else. As long as you have the motivation to keep trying you will find something that works for you eventually.

Anna Saccone's Week 1 Workout Routine

Anna Saccone is a British YouTuber who I watch and recently she did a 6 week workout plan on her channel. I saw this and thought I would try it. I tried week 1 and enjoyed it so I decided to commit to doing this everyday. It takes just over 10 minutes to do so it isn't a huge proportion of your day to dedicate to exercise if you really want to start exercising.

I have made the decision to stick to week 1 rather than moving on through the weeks as I am enjoying this workout routine at the moment. I may move on to the next week in the future but for now I am happy to stick to week 1.

I highly recommend this routine so if you would like to try it click here. In her video her and her personal trainer talk through each of the exercises and their benefits so it is really helpful. I can't speak for the other weeks as I haven't tried them but week 1 is very good.

The 30 Day Challenge App

The second form of exercise I am doing at the moment is the 30 day Challenge app which you can get for free on the app store. I use the 30 day challenge which has 8 different workouts including Ab, Push Up, Squat, Arms, Butt, Plank, Thigh and Cardio. I also do the 30 day beach body/ LBD challenge which is a separate app. I do all of these but you could just try a part of your body that you want to work on. For example, if you want to work on your legs you could just do the 30 Day Thigh Challenge.

I think these apps are really good but they are really hard and they only get harder as the days go on. I'm sure that this won't stop you but it's something to be aware of when you start. I really enjoy doing the exercises on these apps.

***

I try to do the Anna Saccone (week 1) workout followed by both 30 Day Challenge apps everyday. As it's Summer I have been quite busy so on the odd day I have not done it if I've been out all day and haven't had time to do it but on the whole I try to do it everyday. It takes me around 30 minutes to complete it all which I think is a reasonable amount of time to spend on exercise per day.

The important thing to remember when it comes to exercise is that you need to find an exercise and the amount of exercise that works for you. Be careful not to push yourself too much and only do what you feel comfortable doing.

If you try either of these exercises then let me know in the comments. I would love to hear what you thought about it. The main reason I did this post is just to let you know what I do as I thought you might find it interesting so I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading!

How To Deal With Long Car Journeys!

Hello Everyone,

Travelling on long journeys isn't the most comfortable thing and sometimes it can lead to you feeling quite ill. I have come up with a list of tips that will hopefully help to make long journeys more enjoyable.

Tip 1 - Get fresh air if possible.
If you're in the car try to open the window if you start to feel unwell.

Tip 2 - Have a break.
If you're travelling in the car try to stop for a break. This will enable you to stretch you legs and get some fresh air. Splitting up the car journey will help to make it more bearable. Maybe stop at services to have something to eat or go to the toilet.

Tip 3 - Eat/ drink ginger or peppermint,
These flavours are supposed to help with travel sickness. Stock up on these flavours for the journey. Get some ginger biscuits or some chewing gum or mints.

Tip 4 - Drink plenty of water.
This will help to refresh you which is needed on a long journey.

Tip 5 - Don't look out of the window.
This can make you feel sick. It's much better to focus on a fixed point in the horizon.

Tip 6 - Don't read or play games.

Tip 7 - Try to sleep.
This will help to make the journey go quicker and you don't feel sick if you're asleep

Tip 8 - Medication
I have never personally tried travel sickness tablets but they are an option if you really suffer on long journeys. I have tried the travel sickness bands as a child and I found that they did really help me feel less sick whilst travelling.

They are my tips for travelling. I hope you find them helpful. Thanks for reading!

The Best Way To Pack Your Suitcase!

Hello Everyone,

As it's Summer I'm sure that many of you will be going away whether you are going abroad or just going away somewhere in the country you live in. Today I wanted to write a post to give you a few tips on the best way to pack your suitcase so that you can fit as much into it as possible.

Tip 1 - Write a list of everything you want to take

This will help you to only pack what you need rather than throwing everything out of your wardrobe into your suitcase and then not wearing most of it. This also helps you to remember everything. It's the most annoying thing when you arrive at your holiday destination and when you unpack you realise you've forgot half of the essentials. If you tick each item off the list as you put it in your suitcase and then you'll know exactly what you have left to pack.

Tip 2 - Lay out everything on your bed

Before I pack everything into my suitcase I like to lay it out on my bed because this helps to give me a good look over what I've got and then I can add anything that is missing or take anything out that isn't necessary.

Tip 3 - Plan outfits

Try to plan outfits so you have something for each day night. This again helps you to make sure you have enough outfits for each day and no more. Think about mix & match outfits because then you don't have to take as much. By this I mean that if you have a pair of shorts you could use them for two days as long as you have two tops.

Tip 4 - Fold up bulkier, non-crease items first. Roll other items

Rolling items up that don't crease saves so much room. You will be so thankful for this tip if you struggle to travel lights because this means that you can pack more.

Tip 5 - Pack delicate items on top

This helps to avoid creasing items of clothing which saves you having to start ironing your clothes as soon as you arrive on holiday.

Tip 6 - Pack shoes around the sides with the soles flat against the lining of the case

This stops any dirt from the bottom of you shoes transferring onto your clothes. Another tip is if you are taking any trainers or boots pack you socks in side of them because this saves a lot of room.

Tip 7 - Pack toiletries inside the plastic bag in case they leak.

If you are going on a plane you will have to do this anyway but this is always a good idea because toiletries bottles can easily break when travelling so it's best to keep them in a plastic bag so no clothes get ruined if this does happen.

So they are my tips for packing. I hope you find this helpful. These are all tips that I use when packing because I definitely don't travel light. Remember these tips only apply to fitting things into your suitcase but not to weight so if you have a weight restriction make sure you weigh your suitcase before hand to avoid any extra costs from extra weight.

If you are going on holiday this Summer I hope this post helps you and I hope you have a lovely time. Thanks for reading!

The Summer Tag!

Summer 2016

Hello Everyone,

I really enjoy doing 'Tags' because I find it fun to answer the questions so today I thought I would do the Summer Tag. I hope you enjoy it!

What's your favourite thing about Summer?
My favourite thing about Summer is probably the light nights because you can be outside for much longer and you just have so much more time to do things.

Do you have a favourite Summer drink?
I definitely drink a lot more water in Summer. I'm not a big fan of fizzy drinks and stuff like that so I tend to just drink water.

Is there a location you like to go each Summer?
I love to go to the beach during the Summer. I find the beach really relaxing and comforting so I love going there on days out.

Favourite make up look for Summer?
I think natural make up is best in Summer. I really like pink lips in the Summer as well.

Dresses or Skirts?
I much prefer dresses because they're really comfy and light to wear which makes them perfect for Summer.

Sandals or Ballet Pumps?
I would have always said ballet pumps in the past but this Summer I have really enjoyed wearing sandals. I think they're really pretty and can make an outfit.

Do you prefer to wear your hair up or down in Summer?
If I'm at home I wear my hair up the majority or the time but if I'm going out then I wear it down pretty much all of the time.

Deep smoky eyes or bold lips?
Definitely bold lips.

Favourite perfume for Summer?
Justin Bieber - Someday for during the day
Marc Jacobs - Daisy for in the evening

Favourite music for Summer?
I really just enjoy whatever is in the charts at the moment. I'm going to do a Summer Playlist post on my blog soon so keep an eye out for that.

So they are my answers to the Summer Tag questions. What is your favourite thing about Summer? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading!
