How To Deal With Long Car Journeys!

Hello Everyone,

Travelling on long journeys isn't the most comfortable thing and sometimes it can lead to you feeling quite ill. I have come up with a list of tips that will hopefully help to make long journeys more enjoyable.

Tip 1 - Get fresh air if possible.
If you're in the car try to open the window if you start to feel unwell.

Tip 2 - Have a break.
If you're travelling in the car try to stop for a break. This will enable you to stretch you legs and get some fresh air. Splitting up the car journey will help to make it more bearable. Maybe stop at services to have something to eat or go to the toilet.

Tip 3 - Eat/ drink ginger or peppermint,
These flavours are supposed to help with travel sickness. Stock up on these flavours for the journey. Get some ginger biscuits or some chewing gum or mints.

Tip 4 - Drink plenty of water.
This will help to refresh you which is needed on a long journey.

Tip 5 - Don't look out of the window.
This can make you feel sick. It's much better to focus on a fixed point in the horizon.

Tip 6 - Don't read or play games.

Tip 7 - Try to sleep.
This will help to make the journey go quicker and you don't feel sick if you're asleep

Tip 8 - Medication
I have never personally tried travel sickness tablets but they are an option if you really suffer on long journeys. I have tried the travel sickness bands as a child and I found that they did really help me feel less sick whilst travelling.

They are my tips for travelling. I hope you find them helpful. Thanks for reading!

Pretty Perfect x
